No more boring drawings!

What's interesting to you, is interesting to others.

Sure, this post by Ralph Ammer is technically about drawing, but it also maps almost perfectly onto sharing anything with audience. His idea that every drawing is a self-portrait applies just as much to newsletters. When you publish, you’re sketching a picture of how you think, what you notice, and what matters to you.

Which is why presentation matters—and why over-relying on templates can flatten the work.

As Ralph writes: “Carefully composed drawings can show our relation to the world. And that is interesting. It is interesting because we have made a conscious choice of what is important to us. And chances are that this is also interesting for others.”
